Online Application Submission

 

- Employer Registration: Your employer needs to register an account in the Service System for Foreigners Working in China

- Submit Application Online: The employer will submit the application for the Notification Letter of Foreigner’s Work Permit on your behalf through the system. You need to provide all the required documents in scanned format. The processing usually takes about 5 working days.

 

Evaluation and Approval

 

- Initial Review: The local authorities will conduct a preliminary review of the submitted materials. If any corrections are needed, you will receive an online notification.

- Decision: If the application is approved, the system will generate the Notification Letter of Foreigner’s Work Permit. The employer can print it out.

 

Work Visa Application

 

- Apply for Z Visa: With the Notification Letter of Foreigner’s Work Permit, you can apply for a Z visa at a Chinese embassy or consulate in your home country. You may also need to submit other documents such as an invitation letter, health check report, and a copy of your passport.

 

Entry to China and Residence Permit Application

 

- Enter China: After obtaining the Z visa, you can travel to China.

- Apply for Residence Permit: Within 30 days of your arrival in China, you need to apply for a residence permit at the local public security exit-entry administration department. You will need to submit your work permit, Z visa, and other required documents.

 

Post-Permit Obligations

 

- Compliance with Local Laws: Ensure you comply with local labor laws and regulations.
